THEIR STORY
Most people know they should probably wear a sun hat, but few can find one that’s just right. They are all too bulky, too delicate, too floppy, too expensive or too uncomfortable. They make your head hot, slip down your face, mess up your hair – you get the idea!
In the summer of 2021, our founder, Farrell, decided to make a sun hat that people would actively want to wear. Pulling from personal experience, as a mom of three, she wanted something durable and flexible that could easily roll up and be tucked in a bag or pocket. As a runner, she wanted something lightweight and breathable that wouldn’t fall off, and, as an 80’s baby, she wanted something FUN. With these things in mind, Farrell & Co. was born.
THEIR PRODUCTS
At Farrell & Co. our visors are not only transparent (no blocked vision here!) but we are also transparent in all that we do – from the materials we use to the people that make our products. The brims of our hats are made of eco-friendly TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) which is 100% recyclable and biodegradable, durable and non-toxic, and offers excellent sun protection (UPF 50+). The inner band is made of 100% cotton French terry, which is so soft and absorbent you might even forget you’re wearing a hat at all! All of our visors are ethically (and locally) made in the USA by our production partners in Fall River, MA, so we know the faces behind every one that comes off the line.
Our mission at Farrell & Co. is to produce sun hats that will keep up with you – whether you’re on your morning jog, the tennis courts, or chasing your kids around the playground. Our hats roll up small enough to fit in a bag or pocket, which makes them perfect for busy moms or people on the go. Not to mention, they are secured with a silicone slap bracelet which (in our opinion) makes them super fun 🙂 We love what we do, and sincerely hope you enjoy wearing our sun hats as much as we’ve enjoyed making them!
