THEIR STORY
Kith + Kimono is a new, sustainable fashion brand that came from “an Idea.” In 2018, I was on a mission to find the perfect kimono. I looked everywhere for one that was sustainably manufactured, and needless to say, I didn’t find one. From that point on, I began to look at how I could fabricate a kimono that was made from sustainable fabrics, ethically manufactured, and made in the USA.
Fast forward to 2020. Kith + Kimono is strongly committed to using eco-friendly material, not only in products sold, but also in packaging. We work with a Los Angeles based manufacturer that provides a clean, safe, and ethical working environment for all of its employees. This is a great way to combat fast fashion, offer quality over quantity, and aid in our sustainability efforts.
THEIR PRODUCTS
Kith + Kimono creates unique kimonos that are made from sustainable fabrics. Each kimono is manufactured in Los Angeles from deadstock fabric. Deadstock fabric is left over, remnant fabric which is no longer useful for large companies. This is why Kith + Kimono only manufactures a small amount of kimonos in each size and fabric choice.
Since each kimono is available in limited quantities, it is definitely a unique find. Offering kimonos that are not “one size fits all,” was an important feature, because let’s face it, one size does not fit all. Offering sizes X-Small to X-Large makes for a better fit for everyone who wants to help in our sustainability efforts.
